A japanese girl singing nepali song on nepal festival tokyo 2010. This song was originally sung by Kunti Moktan.Kunti was born in Margaret' Hope tea estate, Darjeeling district, India. She moved to Kathmandu, Nepal in 1983 to pursue her musical career. She is married to Sila Bahadur Moktan, who is a Nepalese musician and a lyricist. Her two daughters Shital and Shubani are also musicians.

Kunti started singing from an early age. She started her musical journey from St. Xavier's High School in Dilaram. When in Class 8, she passed her vocal test at the All India Radio station in Kurseong. She recorded her first song with All India Radio at the age of 15, and her second song for Radio Nepal at the age of 18. Kunti has performed in about 20 countries, including the India, USA, Japan, England, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland and South Korea. Apart from singing, she plays the harmonium well.
