Budget session of House begins


The budget session of parliament has begun at the parliament building in New Baneshwar on Tuesday. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had summoned the House session for today as per Article 296(6) of the constitution. Earlier, the Cabinet had recommended the date to commence the session to the President. In today’s meeting, it observed a minute's silence in memory of martyrs who lost their life in the struggle for democracy and republicanism. Speaker Onsari Gharti read out a letter received from the President’s office informing the commencement of the budget session of the House.

Likewise, Speaker Gharti also read out a letter received from Prime Minister’s Office in connection with change of ministers. The meeting has been postponed till Wednesday 11 am. As per the schedule, there will be general discussions for two days starting from May 4. Similarly, pre-budget discussions will start for two days starting from May 6. Government will introduceit's policy and programs on May 8 .myrepublica.
