Barack Obama stars in a spoof video to talk about his retirement plans

The Economic Times is an English-language Indian daily newspaper published by the Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., more popularly known as The Times Group. The Economic Times, started in 1961, is Asia's largest and among the world's top 3 English Business dailies.

At the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, U.S. President Barack Obama on Saturday (April 30) poked fun at himself in a video spoof about his retirement. During the pre-produced video, Obama attempts to obtain a D.C. driver's license and is required to produce a birth certificate. It was a reference to opponents, including current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who alleged that the U.S. leader was not born in the U.S. and was ineligible to be president. Obama then turns to former Speaker of the House John Boehner, a Republican who was often on the opposite side of the political fence, for advice. Boehner joins him in the White House movie room and attempts to shine a positive light on retirement and tempts Obama to smoke a cigarette, a reference to rumors that the president smoked in secret. The video closes with the two walking the White House halls, red wine in Boehner's hand, seemingly embracing the future together.
