Geologist Hagen’s daughter in Jajarkot to serve local residents

A five-day free surgery camp for orthopedic and neurological treatment set up at the District Hospital under the leadership of Dr Katrin.Eighteen doctors including six Nepali doctors with expertise in orthopedic and neurology are available at the camp that is supported by Med Solutions Foundation Switzerland financially. “My father had talked about the place (Jajarkot) when I was in Switzerland. He would tell me that he had wishes to do something better for the district. So I have come here to fulfill the dreams of my father by serving local people,” said Katrin at an inaugural programme of the camp on Friday. Patients of diseases related to orthopedic and neurology from Jajarkot, Rukum, Salyan, Surkhet and Dolpa are expected to avail of the service.A total 70 patients with diseases related to orthopedic and neurology will be operated on at the camp, said director at the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital at Jorpati, Dr Rajesh Maharjan.
