Circus retires elephants: animal tricks 'no longer wanted'


Elephants are leaving one of the best known circuses in the United States. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey say public pressure and new laws are behind the move. Their elephants are being sent to the company’s conservation centre in Florida where animal rights campaigners fear they’ll continue to be mistreated. Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports on the end of an era for what the circus calls “The Greatest Show on Earth.”
