Interview with Chudamani Sharma


The Ministry of Law, Justice and Federal Affairs has said that it was about to complete preparations for formulating 138 news laws as demanded by the country's new constitution. At a regular press meet in the Ministry Friday, it was shared that preparations had reached the final phase for formulating new acts—110 on federal affairs, 22 relating to provincial topics and local laws on six topics to meet the spirit of the new constitution.
On the occasion, Minister for Law, Justice and Federal Affairs Agni Kharel stressed on the need of unity among the political parties to develop new laws required by the country's federal democratic constitution as soon as possible and to enforce them as well. The Ministry had constituted a seven-member directive committee under the convenorship of Secretary Tek Prasad Dhungana to identify the required laws, prioritise, formulate and evaluate them. RSS
