Cabinet appoints Durja Kumar Rai To APF Inspector General

The government on Tuesday promoted Acting Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF) Durja Kumar Rai to full-fledged IG. A cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar decided to promote Rai to the rank of full-fledged IG as the tenure of suspended IG Kosh Raj Onta ended last week. The government had suspended the Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Kosh Raj Onta, on the recommendation of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).Meanwhile, prior to the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal had held a separate meeting in Baluwatar.
