4.2 magnitude earthquake in Nuwakot

An aftershock measuring 4.2 on Richter scale struck at 2.16 early this morning with the epicenter nearby Salme VDC of the district. The National Seismological Centre (NSC) so far has recorded 450 aftershocks measuring 4.0 or above in Richter scale following 7. 6 magnitude quake on April 25 last year. It is noted that about 9,000 people were killed and 22,000 were injured in the quake in the same day, today, last year. RSS
